ISR Swim Lessons-- Week 1

Here is a video from Tanner's swim lesson today. I recorded Kaden's lesson today too, but the disc in my camcorder is all messed up, so you will have to wait for that video until I can get Aaron's help to get it off the disc. This is his 5th lesson and he is definitely making progress. I know some of you are going to think that this is very cruel and mean, but just remember..they are teaching him how to survive in the water! I will video every Friday and post it so you can all see Kaden's and Tanner's progress!
I encourage everyone with small children to look into these type of lessons.
Here are a few statistics on drowning....
**Of all preschoolers who drown, 70 percent are in the care of one or both parents at the time of the drowning and 75 percent are missing from sight for five minutes or less.
Orange County, CA, Fire Authority
**A swimming pool is 14 times more likely than a motor vehicle to be involved in the death of a child age 4 and under.

Fun in the sun at New Smyrna Beach

Sorry, no pictures of Aaron or I until us white-ies get a tan..maybe after a few more trips to the beach!

(A tan seems to hide the "chub" a little more or maybe tanned chub just looks a tiny bit better?)

ISR Swim Lessons

The other day at the pool, I was talking to a guy there who is a fire fighter (no Aaron, he wasn't a hot fireman..he was old!) as he watched Kaden play in the pool with his life jacket he suggested I check out http://infantswim.com/
On Monday we will start the boys in ISR swim lessons. They will go every day (Mon-Fri) for 10 mins each. They last from 4-6 weeks depending on the child but can take up to 8 weeks. They will learn how to swim in their swim shorts and also fully clothed. I am very excited but also very nervous to watch them teach my babies how to survive in the water. Hopefully it wont be too traumatic for any of us! Wish us luck!

Shoe Fetish

This baby has a shoe fetish! Any time he gets a chance he is wearing somebody elses shoes! He loves them! We were shopping the other day at a department store and I was looking for some new shoes and Tanner was in SHOE HEAVEN! He especially loved the red shoes...the brighter the better! He climbed up on every bench to reach the shoes he wanted...he already had his shoes on, so he was just wearing them on his hands! He was so upset when it was time to go! Here are a few pictures of him wearing our shoes..he loves high heels...I just hope he doesn't break his ankle! He also loves wearing Kaden's crocs!

A trip back home

Here are a few pictures from our trip. I guess I didn't take too many pictures! So sad! But thanks to everybody for hanging out with us! Sorry we didn't get to spend a lot of time with some of you, but the time we did have, we enjoyed and my boys had so much fun playing with all their cousins and friends!

The Children's Museum

Pictures from our trip to the museum at the Gateway with Carissa, Mason, Kim and Jace. The boys loved it. Tanner's favorite thing was playing in the water. Kaden really enjoyed everything, I think he is at the perfect age for it!
