A Little Getaway

Thursday, Aaron and I will be headed off to St. Louis for a long weekend...Aaron to work, me to play! Not really sure what I will be doing while Aaron is working, but does it really matter? Not really, I will be enjoying ME time...which I'm sure will include shopping and sleeping..does it get any better than that?

Aaron's sweet sister Tami has agreed to come and stay with the boys...I am very nervous about leaving them, not that Tami can't handle it, but because I have never really left them for more than a one night sleepover with cousins. Tami is bringing her two sweet girls, so Kaden and Tanner are going to LOVE spending time with their cousins Aspen and Harley!

Not to mention, I am a little bit of a control freak..I need to make sure everything is perfect... clothes picked out, lunches made for Kaden's school, soccer uniform ready for Saturday, navigation system set with all the addresses she will need, maps printed from MapQuest just in case navigation system fails..that tends to happen a lot for some reason, a stocked refrigerator with all the food she will need, a clean car for her to drive, a clean house...oh man..I still have a lot to do!

Thanks so much Tami Jo...we appreciate you more than you know! We hope you have a fun weekend with the boys! We love you Kade and Tan Tan and hope you enjoy your time with Aunt Tami and your cousins!
Nothing to do with this post, but a couple of cute pics from a beach trip a couple of weeks ago!

Fun TImes with Auntie Jen & Uncle Dan

I know I am a little slow at putting these up..these are from earlier this month when Jen and Dan came to visit. We had lots of fun with them playing at the beach and going to Universal Islands of Adventure.

Call Me Crazy

Ok, so I know I am gonna catch a TON of grief for this, but I got my belly pierced. I have been wanting to do it for a long time but I am a big chicken when it comes to needles. But I finally did it. It wasn't the worst pain, but it hurt..ok it hurt a lot! I won't lie..I am just trying to be tough about it! The clamp definitely hurt worse than the needle though!

Turtle Paradise

Meet our new friend..

This is Squirt or Dude as Tanner likes to call him, our new pet turtle.

Check out his crib...a sandy beach, a palm tree, clean water..what more could you ask for?

We adopted him from a work friend of Aaron..we will see how long we can keep him alive!

1st Day of School -- He Loved It

Kaden loved his first day of Kindergarten, he was so excited to go back tomorrow. Too bad there is no school for the next 2 days due to Tropical Storm Fay, school is cancelled! We are a little nervous about the storm being this will be our first one since moving to Florida, but I think we are ready and prepared for it. Hopefully it won't be too bad...wish us luck!

And yes, I survived! I was a little emotional last night and this morning, but doing much better after seeing that cute smile on his face !

Happy Anniversary Baby!

Yesterday, Aaron and I celebrated our 11th anniversary! We were married August 16, 1997! Here are a few pics from our special day.
Ok, so I know we look like we were 12, but we were 19 and 20!
Happy 11 years baby...I LOVE YOU!

My pretty flowers Aaron gave me yesterday...he picked them out and
arranged them all by himself!

Is This For Real?

So I guess this is it...I have to send my baby to school in 3 sleeps (that's how we count days around here) AHHH..I am crying already! I can't believe that Kaden is starting Kindergarten..where does the time go? I am so sad and excited at the same time. I think I will be ok once I know that he is ok. Kids just are not nice these days..I'm afraid of bullies! Kaden is such a sweet sensitive little man, I can't imagine somebody being mean to him! I'm sure he won't have any problems, but I always worry about things like that!

We went to his open house the other night to meet his teacher, her name is Ms. Seibert. She seems very nice. Kaden is excited to have lunch at school..he already has his menu planned... A turkey sandwich, chips, an apple, an orange, a peach and a bottle of water! Hee hee..such a cute boy! At least he likes his fruit!

So I guess I have to get used to this being on a "schedule" (anybody that knows me, knows that a schedule and I do not mix well...this ought to me interesting) At least Tanner and I will get to start spending some quality alone time together..which I'm sure will include many trips to Target and Chick-fil-A!

We are going to spend our last weekend playing. Aaron and I are going to Tampa overnight for the Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift concert to celebrate our 11th Anniversary...we are very excited! Kaden and Tanner are going to have a sleepover with their cousins..which they are very excited about!

Happy Back to School Everybody!

A Boy's Trip -- Alaska

Aaron just returned from a 9 day long trip from Alaska where he fished the Kenai river for Salmon and went deep sea fishing for Halibut. They also checked out some Glaciers and saw sled dogs...sorry not very descriptive, but I really don't know what all they did and trying to find time for Aaron to explain it to me is way too much work! Sorry there are so many pictures, but it looked so pretty I couldn't choose just a few.
